Multicolor 3MF

Multicolor 3D printing with the filaments you own

A generated model carries thousands of shades. Deep 3D Print reduces them to the slots your printer can load, lets you match each color to a spool you own and exports a 3MF with one filament per color, ready in the slicer.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose how many colors

From 1 to 32: as many as the slots of your printer or your multi-material units.

  2. 2

Let the system pick, or pick yourself

The system chooses the colors that suit the model. Or turn on "Choose the colors yourself" and set each one, also from your filaments.

  3. 3

    Swap any color

"Change colors": tap a color and replace it with a spool from My Lab. The rest stays as it is.

  4. 4

    Export the 3MF

One filament per color, already assigned: open it in the slicer and print.

How the color reduction works

The system groups the colors of the model and keeps the distinct ones even when they are small, so eyes and details do not fade into the larger areas.

"Clean up specks" merges tiny isolated patches into their neighbors: fewer filament changes, less purge waste, faster prints.

A 3MF that opens in color

Every triangle is painted with its filament, the way slicers store multi-material painting, and the filament colors are saved in the project. In slicers such as Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and Snapmaker Orca the colors are already on their filaments.

Made for your setup

Save your printers in My Lab with their color slots: the print tips warn you when a model has more colors than your printer can load. Every reduction or swap is a new version of the model, and the original stays available.

Questions

How many colors can I keep?

From 1 to 32, chosen by the system or by you.

Can I keep a specific color exactly?

Yes: turn on "Choose the colors yourself" and edit any color, also picking it from your filaments.

Does the reduction change the shape?

No, only the colors. Each reduction creates a new version of the model.

Which printers does it work with?

Any printer whose slicer handles multi-material 3MF files, with a multi-material unit, a tool changer or several extruders. For single-color printers, export STL.
